Protein Skimmers
A protein skimmer is one of the most important elements of a successful marine system. Skimmers remove biological waste and other dissolved organic content, and also aerate the water. We recommend choosing a high quality skimmer that is adequately sized for your system.
If your system size is at the upper end of the range for a particular skimmer, or if you have a heavy biological load, we suggest moving up one size to a larger unit.
